Lifeguide Counselling Session
  • Psychological problems are often complex and difficult to understand. The first step in successful treatment is a thorough assessment, in which your life history, your problems, and co-occurring symptoms are comprehensively assessed. Diagnostic assessments typically include a packet of standardized tests such as:

    • Objective Test
    • Projective Test
    • Neuro-Psychological Test
    • Rating Scales
    • Diagnostic Standardized interviews.
  • Your counsellor is there to help you, not to judge you, advise or tell you what to do and you can work at your own pace. Sometimes a single session is all that you need. For regular weekly sessions you will see the same counsellor each week at the same time with the aim of helping you with your issues in a short time as possible. This arrangement is open-ended and can continue for as long as you need it and are able to come.

  • Counselling sessions are confidential. What you talk about with your counsellor will remain confidential. The only exception to this would be if you pose a serious risk to yourself or others.
